Animation Video Workshop for adolescents / mixed techniques and live action long animation

During the 2003 African Arts Festival AFRICALIA, a caravan of artists cruised several small Belgian cities result of several video-workshops attended by adolescents and adults in Verviers, Courcelles, Lommel and Ternat to hold performances and creative workshops

Aline Moens, Laurent Vanlancker, Ilse Wijnen

Travelling container-artist-cartoon with locations in cities (Flanders and Wallonia) in deprived neighbourhoods: working with animation techniques, theatre, image, storytelling ...

resulting in one joint film.

Produced in the framework of an animation film-making workshop during the Africalia caravan, with citizens from Verviers, Courcelles, Lommel and Ternat (BE)

A poetic rumour envisions the African city. Each character imagines his life. The imagination of this elsewhere leads to a new exploration of each city here. During the Africalia Caravan, citizens from Verviers, Courcelles, Lommel and Ternat were creators in the production workshop: animation, photography, speech and sound creation are mixed in this film.
